    In Today's Scenario, We all are dealing with so many issues, like

  • Electricity, 
  • Water Crisis, 
  • Traffic, 
  • Pollution, 
  • Darkness,

  • Fuel Prices, 
  • Climate, n Many More....
This is because we forget the Nature's Power,
We forgot what natures has given us & not using those Sources to full extent.

So here is an IDEA, which helps us to overcome 2 Major Issues -
  • Electricity, 
  • Water Crisis.
with the helps of Natural Resources.

Idea :-
Solar (Panels) Roof Over Roads with Rain Water Harvesting System & Advertisements

The basic concept is to install Solar Panels Above Roads (City, Village, Highways), so that we can capture the Maximum Sunlight & we can use it, to Generate the Electricity.

& Since Solar Panels are Installed above the Roads & Roads connect the entire city, so we can supply Nature's Electricity to Entire City during Night Time, with reduction in Transmission Losses for Electricity Transmission via Central Grid,

Also Solar Panels will be installed at an Angle (Latitude North) of the Particular Place, i.e. those Panels will be Slightly in Tilted Position, Which helps us to Save lot of Rain Water during Rainy Seasons, with the help of Rain Water Harvesting System.

Advantages of Solar Panels on Road

Hi All,

    As it's already known, Solar Energy is a Free & Clean Source of Energy, & after implementing Solar Panels above Roads, we can use Solar Power to its Full Extent & get the Multiple Advantages, like,

Advertisements will make Roads More Happening & Solar Panels will help us to Save Our Planet - Earth !!!

Advantages :-
  1. By building Solar Roof on 2 Lane Road, a Power of around 3050 MW per KM per Year will be Generated, & if number of lanes increases, Output Power will also Increase.
  2. On the same Road, we can collect around 9,75,360 Liters of Rain Water per KM, with 100mm of Rainfall (Average Rainfall in INDIA) & if we consider 700 Liters of Water for an Average Family than around 1400 Families per KM, can be supplied with Enough Water Supply.
  3. Simultaneously 2 process can be done :- (a) Funds for Installation of Solar Panels, will be provided by Advertisers, So Less Time is required to supply Clean Energy Everywhere. (b) Govt. Subsidy amount can be utilized in R&D work, to make solar panels 100% Efficient, which are currently around 25%. 
  4. In any city, around 10-38% of electricity is supplied for Street Lights, which can be saved, as those advertisement panels will be enough to lighten up the streets, & that 10-38% electricity can be used for supplying electricity to residential or industrial places.
  5. By saving that 10-38% of electricity production, we can save burning of coal or other fuel, which is used for production of electricity, hence we can somehow overcome with the issue of carbon emission, pollution, & helps in saving environment.
  6. These Solar Roof on Roads will be WIN-WIN situation for all 3 sectors of any area/city/country, those are Government, Advertisers (Private Companies) & Public,
              Government :- They have to raise Minimum Funds, as there is NO Requirement of Land Acquisition (as roads are already under there control), & also Major Funds will be provided by the Advertisers (Companies) for Advertisement on side of the road, which helps them to generate Free Electricity, Save Rain Water & also supplying 24x7 Lighting on the Road (will be replacement of street lights).
              Advertisers (Companies) :- They get there Product Marketed 24x7 via Advertisement Panels on Side of Road & also very close to Public.
              Public :- They Receive Shade while moving on the road &, they will receive Ample Amount of Electricity & Water Supply.
  7. It helps in Saving the Other Lands, which is currently used by Advertisers (Companies), where they have placed there Advertisement Hoardings via frames/poles.
  8. As roads connects every part of any City, so Transmission Losses of electricity will also Reduces to Minimum.
  9. These solar roofs on road will be used in Every Season, say in Summer, Rainy & Winters.
  10. It also Protects roads from Over-Heating, as there would be NO direct sunlight on road.
  11. As entire road is covered with these panels, so people can travel via 2-wheeler & avoid 4-wheeler, in all seasons, which helps them in Saving - Fuel, Time, Traffic Jams & Pollution, like,

  • It also helps in Fighting with Crime, as there will be NO Dark Shade/Place on roads, & also public will be able to identify criminals more precisely under completely lighted roads.
  • Those advertisement panels at divider of roads (More Height w.r.t Width of those panels), also helps in avoiding the direct light from other side vehicle (Headlight) into the eyes of the opposite side driver, which makes driving more easily & helps in overcoming the road accidents.

Solar Roads With Rain Water Conservation

Hi All,

    As discussed earlier, the Concept is to Generate Electricity via Solar Energy & also to Conserve the Maximum Rain Water for Useful Purpose.

So below image describes, how actually the Idea (Concept) looks like,


After Implementation of Solar Panels above Roads, We'll be able to Generate Huge Amount of Electricity & we can save those electricity in 2 ways,

1. Either with Batteries for storing of generated electricity, which is placed below those Solar Panels & at Road Dividers

or,

2. Providing Net-Metering System i.e. Feed-In-Tariff System by utilizing already installed street light Poles & Cable to Locally/Centralized electricity distribution board.

&

Since Roads are present in Every City & Connects Every City, So there will be enough Electricity for each Area of a Country.

Funds for Solar Roads - Advertisements

Hi All,

         As we know, Solar Power is a Clean & Free Energy Source, but still its not Implemented to it Full Extents, i.e. Not Everywhere,

Since the Major Issue with Solar Energy is its Land RequirementInitial Installation Cost, which is Really Very High,

So the Solution for Land Requirements are ROADS, which is available in Plenty & also Covers the whole Country.

& the solution for FUNDS are Advertisements,

As stated in Idea, There will be Multiple Advertisements on Roads (Side Lane Road & Road Divider), which cover the Major Cost of Installation of Solar Panels above the Road.

If 1 Meter (Width) Advertisement Boards are Provided to Advertisers & Height of those boards can be any, either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Meter or Above, than around 3000 Advertisers can advertise in 1 KM Road, (considering Traffic Signals Gaps, U-Turns, Crossroads, Intersections, etc.)


& hence the total Installation cost will be divided by 3000, which helps in reducing cost for Individual Advertisers to advertise on Roads.

So, FUNDS by Advertisers, Solves the Issue of High Installation Cost, & Hence Solar Panels Can be Installed Easily on Roads.



Simultaneously 2 process can be done :- 
(a) Funds for Installation of Solar Panels, will be provided by Advertisers, So Less Time is required to supply Clean Energy Everywhere.  
(b) Govt. Subsidy amount can be utilized in R&D work, to make solar panels 100% Efficient, which are currently around 25%.


As i get too many feedbacks with some common questions like, 
1. They are worried about Excess of Advertisements on Roads, which they feel are too distracting for public (driving vehicles).
          I think, Initially there may be distraction but after its full implementation, distraction will also reduces Exponentially, as people get used to it (like shops, malls, supermarkets, etc. near the road, won't distract a lot) & also normal roads will become more Happening via those Ads !!!

2. In Some countries, Advertisements are banned on side of roads due to more chances of Accidents.
         I think, Initially there were only business benefit of Ads on side of roads, but now, we can save our Planet - Earth, by utilizing Clean Energy to its Max. & with those Ads, the implementation of Solar is Possible Everywhere, Quite Quickly, so Govt. need to rethink of the rules regarding Ads on Road Side !!!
